1. Object
The website is accessible at the address "www.la-rida.com" (the "Site") is a digital library dedicated to copyright and made up of articles of doctrine, texts of jurisprudence and chronicles from abroad (the "Articles").
The purpose of these general conditions of use (the "GCU") is to define the terms and conditions of use of the services offered on the Site, which is owned and published by RIDA.
Your access to and use of the services offered by the Site are subject to these TOU, which apply to the entire Site and to any e-mail correspondence between you and us.
In these T&Cs, the terms "we", "our" or "us"you" or "your" refers to you as a visitor or subscriber, if any, to the Site.
Please read these TOS carefully before accessing or using the Site. By accessing and using the Site, you confirm that you have read and understood, and agree to, these TOU.
We reserve the right to modify, alter or update these TOU at any time and such modifications, alterations or updates shall be effective immediately upon posting on the Site. It is your responsibility to refer to and comply with any such modifications, changes or updates when accessing and using the Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of any such modifications, changes or updates constitutes your acceptance of these TOU as modified, changed or updated. If you do not agree to these TOU or any modifications, changes or updates thereto at any time, you should not access or use the Site.
2. Conduct of the visitor
You agree not to violate any applicable national or international laws and to comply with all rules of good conduct and public policy in accessing or using the Site. Without limiting the foregoing, you shall not infringe the rights of any third party or engage in any conduct that is threatening, defamatory, discriminatory or technically harmful (e.g. computer viruses, Trojan horses).
If we suspect or have reason to believe that you have violated these TOU, we may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice.
3. Access to and use of the Site
We strive to make the Site accessible, uninterrupted and error-free. However, we will not be liable if, for any reason, the Site is unavailable at any time or for any period. Access to the Site may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the event of system failure, maintenance or repair or for any other reason.
4. Description of the services of the Site
4.1. Visit of the Site
You can consult and/or download certain Articles made available free of charge on the Site.
4.2 Ordering an Item
You may order any Article published in the journal published by the RIDA (the "Journal") through the Site. To order and receive your Article in digital format, contact rida@la-rida.com
4.3. Abonnement
You can subscribe to the Site, according to the procedure described below, to access the following services: the quarterly delivery of the Journal in paper format and the consultation and/or downloading in PDF format of any Article available on the Site.
5. Access to reserved areas and services on the Site
Access to and use of certain areas and services of the Site are reserved and subject to subscription, as specified above.
To subscribe, you must complete an online subscription request from the home page of the Site.
Upon receipt of your request, a paper invoice will be sent to you. As soon as you have paid the invoice, you will receive a login and a password allowing you to connect to your personal account and to access the reserved areas and services of the Site.
Your login and password are strictly personal and confidential. You are responsible for their management and conservation as well as the consequences of their use, in particular in the case where you would communicate them to a third party.
You agree to provide true, accurate, current and complete information and to keep it current. If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or if we have reason to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and to prohibit any current or future use of the Site by you.
6. Personal data
Your personal data is collected, processed and stored in accordance with the European Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of personal data.
We process your personal data collected in order to process your questions or requests, in particular for subscription or order, to create and manage your personal account.
Your personal data is collected for internal use only. We are not in the business of commercial prospecting and therefore do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties, either for a fee or free of charge.
Your data is kept as long as your personal account is active. Your data is automatically deleted within 3 months from the date you request the deletion of the account.
You have the right to access, rectify, block or delete your personal data by sending, with a proof of identity (e.g. a copy of your driver's license or your identity card), a letter to the following postal address RIDA, 225 Avenue Charles de Gaulle, 92200 Neuilly-sur-Seine, France or an email to the following address: rida@la-rida.com.
7. Intellectual Property
All content (text, sound, images, software, logos, etc.) published on the Site is protected in accordance with French law and international conventions on intellectual property.
Subject to the provisions of articles L.122-5, L.211-3 and L.342-3 of the Intellectual Property Code, as well as the various conditions of use determined by free licenses when the content is identified as being covered by such a license, any reproduction and/or communication to the public of all or part of this content is subject to authorization.
Moreover, any unauthorized reproduction and/or communication to the public of the trademarks and logos present on this Site constitutes an infringement and its author is liable to penal sanctions and in particular to the penalties provided for in articles L.335-2 and L.343-1 of the Intellectual Property Code.

Any creation of a hypertext link to the Site is made under the entire responsibility of the person who created this link and cannot engage our responsibility. We reserve the right to request the removal of these links, in particular when the site hosting the link infringes the copyright or the reputation of Rida.

11. Applicable law and competent jurisdictions
These TOS shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, and you irrevocably agree that the courts of France shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these TOS or its subject matter.
