The internet is made of roughly 5 billion pages and this number is exponentially increasing. In order to find their way on the internet, web users need hyperlinks. However, hyperlinks call into question the grounds on which copyright was built as it is the first time in history that the immaterial rights are completely severed from a material medium. The USA, the European Union and France have offered different solutions all opting for a balance between fundamental rights.
